Sherlock Holmes has been delighting fans on page, screen, and stage since the late 1800s. To open the 2024 season Greenbrier Valley Theatre is bringing the famous detective to life on Friday, May 10 for audiences to enjoy in an adaptation of one of Holmes most notorious mysteries.

Author Ken Ludwig wrote Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery in 2015, and introduces fast paced wit and humor to the classic case.

“This play really has so many elements that will entertain a wide audience base,” Director Jenna Sulecki said. “There is obviously the mystery that comes with any great Sherlock Holmes story, but Ken Ludwig’s adaptation adds a lot of humor, creativity, and pure silliness, as well.”

Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery requires three of the five actors to play more than 30 different characters that are a part of Holmes and Watson’s adventures. This requires many quick costume changes, silly voices, and a lot of physicality.
