Your Summer Guide to Downtown Lewisburg

It’s no secret that the past year was less than ideal. With over 12 months of restrictions in place to help everyone keep safe and healthy, we are starting to see those restrictions lifted so we can get back in the swing of things. Summer 2021 is kicking off in downtown Lewisburg and we have the guide to make it the best summer yet.

ENJOY AN OUTDOOR PATIO

You know summer has finally arrived when you take that first sip of a freshly crafted cocktail while surrounded by the sights and sounds of dining al fresco. Downtown Lewisburg is no stranger to outdoor dining and has many lovely options to choose from. Whether you want casual bites or fine dining, a downtown patio awaits.

It’s hard to believe just how many boutiques we have in our charming downtown area. ART, ANTIQUES & ALL AMERICAN

It’s the 3 A’s! And downtown Lewisburg has them all. Taking a walk through downtown, it’s hard to miss all of the art galleries and antique stores that are peppered along Washington Street. It would take you days to peruse all the treasures these stops offer. Take a peek inside Harmony Ridge Gallery, where everything is made right here in the USA.

WALK, PLAY, RIDE

Summertime is the perfect season to explore all the natural beauty that southern West Virginia has to offer. Luckily, we have some of the best trails for hiking and biking right in our backyard. Whether you want a leisurely walk along the river or an exhilarating mountain bike ride down the trails of the nearby Greenbrier State Forest, the Greenbrier Valley has it all. Need some outdoor gear? Check out Serenity Now Outfitters, Lewisburg’s very own Outdoor Shop.

DISCOVER THE HISTORY & THE ARTS

Lewisburg is steeped in history. When a town is founded in the 1700’s a past is sure to be present. In addition to the North House Museum, where history tours are offered all summer long, we have one of only four Carnegie Hall’s in the world. The Greenbrier Valley Theatre is the state professional theater for West Virginia and is located right downtown. Not only can you play in the outdoors, Lewisburg has many choices for indoor entertainment as well (gotta love some AC).

Let’s be honest, we could go on and on about all the wonderful the things that downtown Lewisburg has to offer, especially in one of our favorite seasons. Don’t take our word for it, stop by and see why Lewisburg was voted “America’s Coolest Small Town.”
